UPDATED.... Thurs. Sept. 27, 2007 Hey.... This is Nancy!!! Start saving your money... The AES European Convention is going to be in AMSTERDAM in 2008.... AND WE'RE GOING!!! The plan is to go to Amsterdam first, since the convention falls near the end of the semester, then go to Paris, followed by London. It's gonna cost around $3980 in a shared room since the dollar is worth less in Europe, but i'll get the best deal i can find. Keep checking for updates!!	UPDATED.... Sat. Sept.1, 2007... OINGO BOINGO is coming again this October to rehearse for their Halloween shows! As you know from last year, 6 of you will be coming with me to work the shows. Keep watching for updates!.
UPDATED.... Wed, October 18, 2006.... 10:30pm Well... it's been an interesting day... I did find the 'Nightmare' tracks... the level was so low that i had to use the video tape sound... but it worked fine once i de-noised it. thanks for your help on locating that data. We had word from the Greek that we CAN bring our own techs... who must be specific to a particular player or section... no problem. SOOOO i drew balls, and sent out emails to the 6 of you who i drew... If you got pulled, you'll find an email from VATOS2006.. read it carefully... you have lots of homework before friday's show. Congrats to those who are working the shows, and thanks again to all of you who helped with the Vatos sessions on Saturday and Sunday. YOU are the ones who made it happen.	UPDATED.... Wed, October 18, 2006.... 7am URGENT.... VATOS CONTROL ROOM CREW.... I need to know where the OOGIE BOOGIE/ Nightmare strings section is on the drives... do you remember a TIME location? Bear needs them ASAP... !!! Email me with a response... I've checked songs oingo1 and oingo2, and the other files on there but to no availe...... HELP!!!! Did they make it onto PT... if so, i didn't find them when i did the transfer..... were MIX A and MIX B on PT different at any time.... I SHOULD KNOW MORE TODAY ABOUT THE 'TECHING THE SHOW' thing soon... hopefully later today.... but it looks good for 5 or 6 of you.... be ready... I'll draw balls from the names on the list to see who comes with me..... keep checking back... things change at a moments notice in this biz.
UPDATED.... Tuesday, October 17, 2006.... 8pm There will be No VATOS rehearsal at LBCC on Tuesday... Oct 17... you can sleep in.... *** HOWEVER... Music 65 WILL NOT be meeting to play projects... I have to be at today's rehearsal. Also... no word yet on 'crew' for Friday and Saturday... keep checking back On a more personal note... I just wanted to thank you all for doing such a phenominal job... You have just had a small taste of the PRO level.... ... In Fact... one of the guys who was there both saturday and sunday told me he just got done doing a reunion tour with the 80's band Naked Eyes [of KROQ 'Always Something There to Remind Me' fame]. He said, in awe... a number of times, how you did a MUCH MUCH MUCH better job than the sound people at both the 'House of Blues' Anaheim and Hollywood. WOW... what a compliment... The 2mix sounds remarkably good... i've already delivered disk-sets to a number of the band members. I can't wait to load in the multitrack and really give the tracks some mix attention. Once again.... GREAT JOB!
